A Journey Rooted in Passion and Tradition
Chef Robert’s culinary journey began in his hometown of Richmond, VA, where his love for cooking was sparked by cherished childhood memories. As a young boy, he spent countless hours in the kitchen with his grandfather, “Papa,” preparing Sunday dinners for their large family. These early experiences shaped Chef Robert’s love for food and inspired his dream to become a chef.
After studying at Johnson & Wales University, Chef Robert honed his skills at some of the country’s most renowned culinary institutions. From Walt Disney World and Jean-Georges’ restaurants to Benne on Eagle at The Foundry Hotel, he refined his technique and developed a passion for creating exceptional dishes. His culinary talent was nationally recognized when he won Food Network’s Chopped: Halloween Spooktacular in Season 56, solidifying his place in the culinary world.

Chef Robert’s journey brought him to The Polished Chef in 2023, where his skills and experience quickly shined. Hand-selected by Chef Nathan Davis to be his right hand, Chef Robert embraced the opportunity to help bring elevated dining experiences to homes across the United States. His adaptability and passion for cooking allowed him to quickly master our recipes and techniques, and he soon became a client favorite.
Known for his versatility, Chef Robert excels in both savory and sweet creations, delighting our clients with his exceptional baking skills. His desserts have earned rave reviews, and his ability to craft unique menus tailored to each client’s needs makes him an invaluable asset to our team.
